The Dwarfs are tenacious and tough, if given the time to get their wee legs moving! The scenario wasn't very good, but at least you got a taster of the system. The Dwarfs had a right old tussle with the ratties though! I'll run another game soon with a standard scenario and introduce the morale element so you can get a chance of revenge for the long legs!
Not only was this my first Battleground game, this was my first miniatures game ever. This was a learning game (actually, Greg used to date one of the artists and had played before, but we were both rusty, so it was like a learning game), so we decided to use only 1000 point armies. Greg 'had to play the Elves;' I grabbed the sturdy, dependable Dwarves; Sarah decided to watch and study German . Not that she did much of the latter .
